All products are shipped at the same time and will be delivered on the date shown on the pre-ordered product page.

You can change the information you provide at any time by logging into your account. Please see our privacy policy for details of how we use the information that you provide to set up your ByRoya customer account.


Which payment methods do you accept?
Payment can be made by Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, PayPal, Amazon Pay, Shop Pay, Afterpay and Apple Pay.


At what stage is my credit card charged?
Your credit card will be charged at the point at which your order is placed in compliance with our anti-fraud system.


Is it safe to use my credit card on your web site?
We value our customers and respects their privacy. Any information we collect about you is held with the utmost care and security. We use the latest strong encryption technology to ensure that all transactional information is protected to the highest standard. This includes any credit or debit card details, your personal contact information, together with any other names and addresses you provide when you place an order for delivery to another address, and your purchasing history.


Can I still purchase an item that is out of stock?
If an item is out of stock you cannot add it to your cart but you can ask to be notified when it is back in stock by entering your email address on the product page.


Will I receive an order confirmation via email?
You will receive an order confirmation via email to the address you have provided immediately after you have placed your order.

How long do your candles burn?
ByRoya candles are created to burn longer than other traditional candles. These are an estimation of what we're seen with a proper burn.

- Our 10 - 12oz candles burn 80+ hours and are suited for large, open areas in your home.

- Our 8 - 9oz candles burn 60+ hours and are suited for small-medium sized areas in your home.

- Our 5 - 7oz candles burn 40+ hours and are suited for bathrooms, bedside tables & small rooms.

- Our 1 - 4 oz candles burn between 4 to 20 hours and are suited for small spaces. Perfect for hotel rooms.


What are scent notes?
Scent notes are the different scent layers that make up the final fragrance. These scents are split into three distinct elements: top notes, heart notes and base notes.

Top Notes

The top notes represent the first impression. They may not be the longest-lasting element of a fragrance but they’re the first thing you’ll smell when trying a new fragrance. Top notes represent the initial scents that lure you in, causing you to make your first impression of the fragrance.

Heart Notes

The heart notes start to make an appearance just before the top notes fade away and will strongly influence the base notes to come.

Base Notes

Finally, the base notes will start to shine through once the top notes have completely evaporated. Alone, base notes make up 10-25% of the final fragrance. However, the base notes also blend with the heart notes to deepen the complexity of the fragrance.

Where the top notes make the initial impression, the base notes are associated with the dry-down period of the fragrance and so, base notes will create the final, lasting impression.


How do I care for my candle?
We've added a section called Candle Care on every candle page to help you care for your candle. We also add a candle care card to each candle order.


Where are ByRoya products made?
ByRoya products are all entirely handcrafted in Los Angeles, California USA.


How are ByRoya Candles created?
Each candle is meticulously hand poured using the most traditional methods of candle making. Each candle is given unique attention from start to finish.


What type of wax to do your use to create your candles?
During our wax testing, we found that Virgin Coconut Soy Wax was the best wax for creating candles with smooth tops. It is a plant-derived, vegan blend of natural soy and coconut. It has a creamy white appearance and gives an evenness of burn and wax consumption. This wax is gluten free, toxin free, paraben free, and phthalate free. The entire blend utilizes only FDA approved waxes so you have peace of mind while using your home.


How can I receive product samples?
We offer a complimentary product sample with every order.

How long does it take to process an order?
All orders received before 4:00 p.m. PST Monday to Friday (except holidays) will process within 24 business hours - often the same day. Orders received after 4:00 p.m. PST, on weekends or holidays will process the next business day. Final delivery will usually be within 2-5 business days of order.

Please note that we have a summer schedule (June - August) due to severe California heatwaves and will only ship candles from Monday - Wednesday to avoid damage to the candle due to delays caused by carriers at the end of the week so place your order accordingly.


Do you ship worldwide?
Yes, we do. We will select the most optimal carrier depending on your country to make sure your order arrives safely.


Do you deliver to PO Boxes?
Yes, we do. Please make sure you have selected ROUTE as your package protection. We will not be held responsible if you refused insurance and can't locate your order.


What is Route package protection?
Route covers against lost, damaged, or stolen orders. It’s highly recommended you opt into the service at checkout. Find out more here.

Can I have my order gift wrapped?
Each order is carefully wrapped in a signature ByRoya fashion with tissue paper, cotton bags and your care card. We do not offer boxed gift wrapping at this time.

You can cancel your order at any time before it has been shipped. Please consult our returns policy for information.

Here are tips for safely prolonging the life of your candles.

Trim the Wick

Before lighting your ByRoya candle, trim the wick to 1/4-inch length. By shortening the wick you allow it to burn more slowly and also avoid unsightly black smoke marks or soot around the edge of the glass.

Realign the Wick

After blowing out your candle, re-center and straighten the wick.

Safety

Never leave a lit candle unattended. This could be a fire risk. Always place your candle on a level, heat resistant, non-flammable surface away from fabric or drapes. Choose an area free from drafts to avoid uneven burning. Do not place your candle on a marble or glass surface. If the bottom of the hot candle glass comes in contact with a cold material, the glass may crack. Keep away from children and pets.
